Born in France to parents of Pakistani origin, Khalid Chaudhry obtained an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from University College London and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Essex (UK). After a successful career in the telecommunications industry in the USA, UK and Canada including executive level positions he retired in 2009 to pursue other interests. Khalid has a passion for Pakistan and for education and a deep interest in mathematics and the sciences, especially physics. He has been actively involved with several citizen and charitable organizations in the Pakistani American community and served as Chairman, President and Director.
Tahira was born in Kenya to parents of Pakistani origin and moved to London with her family in the early seventies. She studied design and fashion at the London College of Fashion and Technology where she worked briefly before moving to the United States with her husband Khalid Chaudhry in the late seventies. She has worked in design, the clothing industry and as a purchasing buyer before retiring in 2007. Tahira has volunteered for many different causes especially SOS Villages of Pakistan of which she has served as co-Director. She enjoys travelling especially to Pakistan, Turkey and London.
